First Madhist units

Rifles and canon characterise the first of the Madhist units, armed with weapons most likely captured when Baker Pasha’s relief force was roundly defeated at the first battle of El Teb.

The 7 pounder gun crews are a mix of Perry Miniatures’ metal and plastic figures, and a couple of these fellows actually look as if they know what they are about. The rifle armed warriors are also a mix of metal and plastic figures, testament to the excellent compatibility across the Perry range.

Hadendowa gun crews with a couple of capable looking fellows, and a band of rifle armed warriors. The impact of their harassing fire on the battlefield shouldn’t be underestimated.
